Day 3 (Family Version)

James 1:2–4 (CSB)

Consider it a great joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you experience various trials, because you know that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its full effect, so that you may be mature and complete, lacking nothing.

Sometimes life feels hard, like when plans change or things don’t go how we hoped. But God can use even hard things to help us grow stronger and trust Him more.

When we thank God during tough times, we’re saying, “God, I know You’re still here with me.” He never wastes our pain; He uses it to help our hearts grow brave and kind.

Discussion:

Can you think of a time something hard turned out to help you grow?

Activity:

Write one tough situation on paper, then together pray over it and tear the paper into pieces- symbolizing giving it to God.

Prayer:

Lord, help us trust You in hard times and see how You use every challenge to make us stronger in faith. Amen.
