Day 2 (Family Version)

1 Thessalonians 5:18 (CSB)

Give thanks in everything; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

This verse doesn’t say “give thanks for everything,” but “in everything.” That means even when things don’t go perfectly, we can still find small ways to thank God. Gratitude shifts our focus from what’s missing to what’s already present.

Teaching our families to notice God in the ordinary like morning coffee smells, laughter, and warm meals is a daily spiritual practice. Thankfulness doesn’t just belong at church; it belongs in school, at dinner, and in chores too.

Discussion:

What’s one small thing you’re thankful for today that you usually overlook?

Activity:

Everyone in the family find one 'ordinary blessing' today and snap a picture or draw it to share at dinner.

Prayer:

Jesus, thank You for showing us joy in everyday things. Open our eyes to see Your goodness around us. Amen.
